Voice over data / DSVD in N2 questions, need help!

I'm interested in buying a USRobotics MessagePlus or Sportster Flash Modem in Germany.
In ras it was said, that it is possible to talk to each other while racing against each other
with the voice capable modems. In the instructions to the MessagePlus I don't find
a hint how to set things up. Someone knows how to do?

If not possible with the Sportster Flash or the Message Plus, which one should I buy?
Thanks for your help, Marcus.

DSVD can work but only in a modem to modem connection.  And only with exactly the same two
modems(a Hayes cannot talk to a USR or any other).  DSVD was a great promise that went
unfullfilled.  btw.  In USA, the Sportster DSVD Vi is an older modem and not currently supported
by 3com.  And cannot be upgraded to the X2 standard.  If your German modem is the same, then you
are buying an orphan.
