Two things that DTR needs, besides a replay function, are:

1. Dust - If you've been to a dirt track you know that there's a ton
of dust.  Visibility should get worse as the race goes on.  With the
ability to do great looking smoke in Glide, it should be fairly simple
to color it brown and make dust.

2.  Mud- Having mud splatter on the windshield when running a wet
track would be super.  Would really increase the immersion factor of
actually being on a dirt track.

I downloaded the demo last night and it's the most fun you can have
with your clothes on.  Can't wait for the full game.

There is dirt in the air, but it doesn't hang around enough to obscure
visibility. Not at the east coast dirt track races I've been to
anyway. I've gone to Flemington since way back when that was dirt, so
I've seen a few. My dad actually raced at Langhorne, but that was
before I was around. <g>
If there are clouds of dust in the air that bad at your local track,
maybe they need a new water crew. :-)

The cars don't (or shouldn't) have any glass in them at all.
I think the Mustang and Charger might in the game, but that's
incorrect.
Flemington used to call the full bodied stockers Sportsman class.
They were usually Chevelles, Monte Carlo's, Camaro's and Mustangs
(Chevies outnumbered other makes by about 8:1, and I don't think I
ever saw a Sportsman Charger) with roll cages and all of the glass
removed.
