IMHO, you can't do better than a TSW and with the options, you can get
exactly the wheel you want.

I have a TSW with a split axis switch. Here's what I finally had
to do to get SCGT to recognize it (provided you use a 3-axis race
car controller setup within the windows DX controller menu):
-Flip the switch to combined axis
-Hold down both brake and gas pedals
-Start the game and keep the pedals held down until the game
fully loads and you're at the main game menu
-Let off the pedals
-Flip the switch back to split axis
-(you might have to flip the switch back to split axis
BEFORE you let up on the pedals. I haven't played the
game much recently. If it doesn't work the first way
try it the second way.)
Now SCGT should recognize all your appropriate axis in the
controller setup menu. Hope this helps.
