ATI 9800Pro Tweaks

I just built a new system a few months ago. This card (128mb), MSI 865
Neo 2 MB, Intel P4 2.8 (hyperthreading enabled) 1 GB DDR 3400 Ram.
Everything wirk fine in Nascar 2003 both offline and multi player.
I basically have everything turned on in grapics and the frame rate is
70-80 when racing, which is finme with me.

All my settings for the card are the stock install settings. Was
wondering if I should turn and thing on or off?? I have fast write
enabled, and seems to me I have read either/or....

Anyone with the 9800Pro have any different settings. Been reading about
overclocking the card, but.....................

Thanks

Bill

If everything is fine, what do you want to change, and why?

Since you are gettng 70-80fps in N2003, do you need/want 90, or is the
picture bad, or some other game you have not mentioned not working
correctly?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it! LOL.

Wish I had those FPS. I've learned over time that tweaking to get another
FPS or two only leads to headaches and a messed up system that you have to
format. If it's working, just use it and have fun.

I don't think changing some 3D display settings is gonna cause problems only
solved by a FORMAT.

Instead of more FPS, try tweaking things for better image quality. Some
FSAA, etc...

If you want to get more FPS, try the Omega drivers, which come with a
utility to overclock. Don't do that randomly, do it in small increments
checking for stability each time. I don't think you should have much
problems running your card at XT speeds.
