LWFF on all the time?

by Russell Keatin » Fri, 29 Oct 1999 04:00:00

Just got the Logitech FF wheel and as many have said, it sure is great with
GPL!

Anyway, why is this thing on all the time?  I turn off my computer and the
wheel still has the left LED shinning.  I guess (hope) the motor isn't
running.  I thought the USB port would tell it to turn off.  I'd rather not
use a power strip with an on/off switch or unplug it every time I shut off
the computer.

Any ideas?  A setup problem?  Should I not worry about it and just remember
to pay the electric bill :) ?

Thanks,
Russell Keating

Just a guess... But I would imagine you have it plugged in all the
time.

Left LED means AC power to the unit, right LED means the
W98 driver sees the wheel and is ready to use.

Not worth worrying about IMO, Russell.
My computer and wheel are on 24/7. My LWFF has been fired up for the
entire 6 months since I bought it.
The only time everything is powered down and unplugged is when there
is a threat of a thunderstorm (5 or 6 days this past season).
