it yet, check out Nigel Snowdon's recent book on his 40 years of covering
Formula 1. Fans of GPL will appreciate the many fascinating images from the
1960's present in the book, one of my favs was actually shot by his wife at her
first race meeting, the 67 GP at Monaco. During practice, Snowdon placed her
with a camera behind the hay bales at the chicane with instructions to shoot
"any action". Well, along comes Clark, losing it braking into the chicane and
ending in the hay directly in front of Dianna. Not only did she not "bail" out,
but she got a rare shot of Jimmy making a mistake. Not bad for her first race
photograph...
Snowdon's career in F1 streched over 4 decades, and his dedication to and love
of motorsport is evident in this small but very satisfying celebration of one
of the finest lensmen to cronicle the sport.
