Rumors......

by Mike Schmid » Fri, 11 Feb 2000 04:00:00

I would have to agree with Mr. Matson as the definition of the word
fictional simply means...does not exist, what has not happened.  Since none
of this is currently going on I fully agree its fictional.  N4 is currently
a fiction, yet that does not mean its not going to happen<G>

We at PowerSims dont post every rumor we hear, we wait till there seems to
be some foundation to them.  All I can tell you is the foundation for the
rumors we last posted appeared pretty solid.  I just dont understand the
need to be so secretive about this stuff.  Sure maybe there wont be 4
dedicated servers placed across the country...it may end up being more, less
or none.

Is it all fiction or is there a Daytona track?  Is there a work in progress
called N.O.T.S. ?  Is N4 going to be released this summer? Those things I am
pretty sure ARE in the works or completed.  As Scott mentioned the
disclaimer on the rumors page says it all.  Perhaps a better word to use
describing our rumors content is speculation instead of fictional.  We
thought long and hard before we added the rumors page and came to the
conclusion that posting rumors is simply informing our visitors what we are
hearing and not to undermined anyone.

Uh, has no one noticed that the message that allegedly came from Mr.
Matson was probably a forgery???  Check the headers...

David, although I don't have a copy of N4 or whatever it will
be called I have seen two beta copies and some advancements
have been made in the physics department but its no GPL, yet!
I still have to laugh at Papy's security, their betas are still
leaking to their friends, I wonder when they are going to learn!
