At most of the other tracks you are pretty close (faster, even on
two), and your best is faster than what I would consider a "good" lap
for me.  Your skill (or lack of skill) level is thus pretty similar
indeed to mine.

At Monaco, however, I can lap pretty consistently faster than your
best.  You lose as much time to me over the 1:30-odd of this ytrack as
you do over the whole 8:30-odd of the 'ring.

Some concerted effort here would probably reap great rewards!

Things that helped me at Monaco included:

1) Braking earlier and more gently for the corners.  I was flying up
to them, braking hard at the last minute, and more often than not
losing it.  Earlier, more gentle braking has enabled me to keep much
better control, carry more speed into, through, and out of of the
corner.  I also crash a lot less :-)

2) Don't get too hung up on the chicane.  It's a bit of a "zen" thing,
but once you "get it", you seem to "get it".  Focusing further down
the track on where I wanted to be, rather than looking at the chicane
itself helped, as did (perversly enough) going through at full
throttle.  I still lift a bit coming over the crest though - it's the
only way I can anything like guarantee getting the car in the right
place to enter the "corner".
