Rick, how will this bug be fixed? Your post seems to indicate that the
weight distribution is correct when the game is started.
I'm asking this because I don't want to spend time on developing setups
that will be undrivable once the patch arrives.

The weight distribution will remain correct as you drive.

The effect is most notable on ovals where the weight is constantly being
shifted in the same direction; it actually affects NASCAR more than it
does IndyCar.

Yeah, me too.  I am in one everyday too as I drive a new Rx-7.
I felt right at home seeing a boost gauge and boost setting
switches for the turbos (aftermarket items for the Rx-7) and
to have that light, quick feeling in a game.  Reminded me of
my daily commute to work! ;-)

However, the bugs in the game have turned me off, not to mention
the fact that I only have a 486DX2 66Mhz right now with 1 meg
on the video card.  The damn cars slowing down and nearly stopping
before the green pisses me off!  I just can't get used to judging
that.  As a programmer myself, I think it is inexcusable that they
released the software knowing that bug was in there.  How could
they not know it was there?  I'm sure they ran it everyday and
had testers running it.  It wasn't an oversight, it was an "I
don't care, send it out anyways.  We'll fix it later."

BTW, any one know if it's been fixed in a patch.  I haven't
played the game and it's taking up space on my hard disk.  I've
been playing NASCAR for 2 years and still enjoy it.
