I want GPL and my local Software Etc. says they won't get it until LATE
October...I called Sierra (Cendant)
and was on hold for an hour and I never got through ! According to this NG
they run a week later (after the stores get it) I may try to order through
Electronic Boutique !Does anyone have any other suggestions from where I
could order and have it shipped UPS red or blue and have it by Friday ?!

I am willing the download the warez version (I have never downloaded
anything from a warez site) but I can't find a site (!) and no-one seems to
want to tell me where I can find it ! I know it is against the law but I am
going to buy it anyway !

Can anyone tell me where I can order it today or download it ? ?

Go there and buy it online and you will have in 2-4 days. Of course if you have
a store anywhere close to you it would be worth the drive.

There was a post last night answering exactly this..

Electronics Boutique has posted a special ad on their web page to get GPL
for $34.99. Here's the URL:

They will ship it ASAP, I believe.. and you can't beat that price!

Sorry.. no sooner had I posted the message, I discovered that the EB website
is now listing "GPL as temporarily out of stock" .. guess the $34.99 price
tag was just too much!!

AAAAhhhhh!!!

Also... the Toronto (Canada) area EB's that I phoned (3 of them!) all said
that it should be in stores tomorrow (Thursday), as they weren't yet sure if
it was shipping from the EB warehouse in the States, or the Canadian EB
warehouse.

I just called my EB here in Austin, TX, and they are getting ready to
call everyone that has reserved a copy like myself. They had better not
sell my copy or I will have to get medieval on them. So much for
catching up on sleep tonight.

Just got my copy at Electronics Boutique in the Vista Ridge Mall in
Lewisville Texas, and there were fgour or five more when I left.

Does this answer the question as to whether GPL will sell? I found it
rather amazing that they sold out so quickly, considering most of us
hard-core simmers will be getting our copies directly from the outlets
and not via mail-order.

I called this morning and ordered it to be shipped by Fedex two day
delivery.
