Hello All,
I was wondering is there any drag racing games for the PC and where I
can get it. Maybe we can talk papy into making a drag racing game.
That would be cool.
Please help,
Adam

I don't know of any dedicated drag-racing game. Monster Truck Madness
has some drag race circuits, and there are also some drag-race tracks
for Interstate 76 (but it's really basic, it doesn't time races or
anything).

Hi,
There are NASCAR, IndyCar and F1 sims, I think a drag racing sim
would be interesting.  You could constantly changing weather
conditions from round to round, so you would have to constanly adjust
your car for each round.  I would also like to see a world of outlaws
sim, that would be very cool! (more mud than MTM!).

I made a reaction time simulator when I was in my grade 11 computer
science class a few years ago.  It's on a 386 in my old high school
however! (maybe I should write a new one!)  It actually worked preety
good, I had the slowest reaction time of all my friends, (but I could
just say, well... I made the program!).  Just one of the many
constructive things I did during CRS class!  I used to make random
sound generators that annoyed the whole class! (try using the SOUND
command in QuickBASIC (does MS still even supply that program???) with
a frequence of 12000 and see if it hurts your ears!).

Cheers,
John

Drag Racing Sims,
You could have it based throughout the years, starting with the early
days, and right on through to the Heavy 70's with Prudhome, Ivo,
McEwen... those funny cars and rail dragsters of that time were super
cool, just to see these vehicles on screen would be worthwhile. So you
race all the greats up until the present, and as you get better you
deal with the changes in technology, weather conditions and track
differences.
It seems to me that there would be plenty to cover in a decent drag
race sim, contrary to the what I imagine must be the official company
position that there would be little gameplay.
C'mon guys, obviously there is the market out here, at least tell us
you've thought about it.. We want to drag!

Lets just hope some cheesy company does'nt get ahold of the idea and
create a poor version before the talented designers get on it.

Exactly!  Excellent viewpoint, Raevyn.  I would love to be able to
race the older dragsters as well as the new.  I would also like to see
Pro Street machines, Pro Mods, and maybe even drag bikes (although
that is probably a bit much to ask).  The argument about not having
enough gameplay is invalid in my opinion.  If they did it right, there
would be plenty to do.  I would want there to be an option to make it
very technical in that you would have to tune your car just right in
order to win.  My mouth is watering just thinking about it....

IS ANYONE LISTENING (hello Papyrus!!!!!!!!!!)
