BGN: My Impression...

Being the short track racer that I am, and having crewd on REAL Late Modles
at Nashville in the past, I *MUST* say:  Papyrus, you've done an excellent job
of modeling the tracks.  Nashville has *very quickly* become one of my fave's,
along with Hickory.  Hickory:  what can I say, except it's a blast to run!
One big left-hand turn...
IRP:  Great job here also.  The AI follow the same high groove that the
USAC Sprinters and Midgets use, so I tried that line.  It works.  Just hang
the ass-end out on the "cushion" and let 'er rip...!
South Boston:  Not too fond of this palce - yet.  I haven't figured it out
yet.
Myrtle Beach:  This place is weird, just like the real thing.  A half-mile
tri-oval.  You better have a good setup here, cuz the turn two wall'll getcha
if ya ain't careful on the throttle.

Haven't tried any of the new speedways yet.  I'll get around to it later.
Meanwhile, I'm havin' fun tryin' to figure out how to get on Interstate 24
from the Tennessee State Fairgrounds to get to Opryland....!  <g>

I live here in Nashville and have been to the track plenty.  Never raced there
until now.  Papyrus did a good job on the detail.  Looks like the real thing.
You might want to stay off I24, I think there's construction.  Try Briley
Parkway.  But, anywhere you go in Nashville, you'll always find construction.

South Boston has the same 12/8/4 degree banking as IRP.  You'll
quickly find that the high line is the way to go, but you will also
notice that it is easier to pass low here than at IRP.

The three types of banking really allows for some good three-wide
racing.  Here's a tip: a good way to save a car that is out of shape
is to "ride" the banking transitions in the turns.  Getting the
right-side tires onto the higher banking will settle it down enough to
get it back under control.  A side effect of this is that you can use
the banking transitions to get a really good run off of the corners,
especially at South Boston.

The track is set up according to a driver quote I heard at the last
race there: "You have to go slow to go fast at Myrtle Beach."  You'll
see that a banzai lap will oftentimes be slower than a good, smooth,
and consistent line.
