Trent,
 I'm guessing here, but 522K memory seems kinda low. Try creating a boot
disk with HIMEM and EMM386 so you can load DOS high. (If you don't know
how, e-mail me directly and I'll send you example config.sys &
autoexec.bat
files).

Hi,

I cannot get my NASCAR Racing 1.21 running.

When I type "NASCAR", I get:

Unable to begin graphics memory system.

When I type "NASCAR -l", I get:

Unable to begin Matrox 320x200 mode: MX1 Error 2

I am using a 486 DX/33, 8 MB RAM, IBM PS/1.
Super VGA diplay with a Cirrus Logic video card.

I tried the boot disk, no sound, etc.
and still no luck.

Anyone with experience with this kind of problem?

Version 1.21-MX1 is a release of Nascar that has been modified to use
the 3D hardware plotting capabilities of the Matrox Millenium graphics
card, and since you're not using one.... ;-)

The modified game comes on a CD with the card, and yes, SVGA mode is
excellent...

Get the standard 1.21 version from ftp.std.com/vendors/papyrus/nas121.exe
