N2: How to drive fast in Richmond ?

I think, it's an awful track because I can't drive well there.

I have started a full season with 100% race length and 100% opponent
strength. Now I'm practising on Richmond and the best lap I have managed is
nearly 118-119 mph. My car seems to be understeer going into corners
and oversteer exiting them. At the first race of the season in Rockingham
I was 7th after qualifying and it was good for me, now in Richmond I can't
be even 20th.
I have tried three or four setups ( including Pekka's ) and nothing
changes.

Common, Richmond Kings, give me advise ! (and maybe it will become my
favorite N2 track :) )

( I use CH Products Virtual Pilot steering whell and Pro Pedals )

One thing I have learned driving R/C gas cars is that driving slower is
actually faster.

Slow down. If your going to fast you can't turn!

Also, if you drive slower you can take a tighter line and put the power
down sooner, which gives you more straightaway speed.

I am new to sim driving, but this may also save your tires.

From my limited experience I'd say David is right on the money here.
If you try to push your car through the turns the thing you'll end up
doing is burn your tires. Finding the right line around the track is
equally as important.

I quickly devised a driveable setup for Richmond which will keep you
over 120mph comfortably without the need of extracting everything out
of it (my best laps were over 122mph with this one). Haven't tested a
full tank run with this so someone else might tell us how the 'poor'
RF tire will cope a long haul (remember to drive gently, though).
