ACT force RS & SCGT : no real FF?

by porsch.. » Sun, 04 Jun 2000 04:00:00

Hmm, does this work? I just got my RS wheel and it's great with rally
masters, NFSPU, but with SCGT I can only feel the rumble strips, the
rest of the "heaviness" is gone, it feels super light and almost like
no FF at all.. Strange.... Any hint ?

TIA. Greg.

ACT force RS & SCGT : no real FF?

Feels pretty good to me.  I can feel the tires gripping.  In the control
panel, I've got all the gain settings at 100%, default spring at 13%, and
"map y axis effects to x axis" is turned off.

Damn this is bizarre... If I play SCGT only, i get kinda used to it,
but the transition is a killer. Every other game I run feels fantastic
with that wheel, heavy sping, effects strong enough to kick my hands
away from thr wheel.. then I go to SCGT and the wheel is so light I
feel lile I am driving a Citroen with bald tires... Very
disconcerting... There is FF, I can feel bumps, hits, kerbs, but the
road feel is soo light..it was great with my old saitek FF....

ACT force RS & SCGT : no real FF?

I have a Interact V4 FF wheel (totally uncool in this group) and have
exactly the same problem.  In MGPRS, DTR and Powerslide especially,
the effects will nearly make your arms sore.  Also good in GPL and the
games you mentioned, including some other games, but can only feel the
rumble strips in SCGT and F12K.  Re an earlier post by me on this, a
fellow suggested turning down the speed sensitivity in F12K, which
helped a little but wasn't worth the tradeoff.

I don't have an answer or help for you, but at least you're not alone.
