N2 time in pits

It says in the manual that if you are getting repaired and hit enter to
stop reparis you will idmetiatly be allowed to leave my pit.  It usally
takes between 15 or twenty seconds for it to let me go.  The same thing
happens if I have damage  and just get a tire change.  Does anybody know
how to fix this problem?

Thanks,
David

First I think you must have the F9 pit window open for the Enter key to
stop repairs.  Also, the crew may take a few seconds to finish the
repairs they were working on.

If your "wheel wells" are damamged the pit crew MUST do some repairs to
get the tire off and make sure there is no sheet metal rubbing when they
replace the tires. So if you are pitting with a damaged wheel or wheel
wells, even if you have the Do No Repair selected the pit crew will
spend the necessary time it takes to get the wheel off and make your car
safe.

Because sometimes, like in real life, they have to repair part of the
wheelwell to get the tire on/off. Also, if they are in the middle of a
repair, they finish what they were working on.

Right! You can save yourself some time by going to the tire screen (F5) and
hitting enter to turn off all tire changes. The crew will then change only
the damaged tire and do whatever work is necessary to make the car
driveable. You can then pull out of the pits, come back around, and do the
full 4-tire change, get more damage repaired, etc.

If you do get 4 tires changed on the first stop, and elect to come back in
to get damage fixed on the next lap, make sure to change the F5 screen so
that the crew doesn't waste time changing all 4 tires again.

I think this is due to the fact that when you press enter they FINISH
fixing what they're currently working on, and then let you go. I'm not
sure if this will work, but try telling them to not work on the car
before you stop. Also, it may just take them longer to work on a bent
up car (with bent wheel wells, etc.)

Hope this helps!
