Need help with F12002 and Cat 3.4

F12002 simply will not work with the 3.4 Control Panel.  I simply can't get
AA of AF in F12002.  It doesn't matter how I set AA and AF in the Display
Options.  The 3D test always comes out the same, and F12002 looks awful.
This doesn't happen with the 3.2 Control Panel.  Does this happen to anyone
else, or does anyone else have an idea of what might be going on?

Thanks,
Alan

I have to reboot my computer for any change in AA/AF settings to take
effect.  Have you tried that?

No problems here.  When you say that the "3d test always comes out the
same", are you referring to the benchmark test of EA's setup utility?  I
don't use the ATI control panel to set AA, I leave it at 'application
preference' and turn it on via the EA setup utility.

It turned out to be a combination of that and the ATI CP not updating the
registry properly.  There are two entries in
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video for the 9700 Pro.  The one being
updated (presumably for the second monitor) wasn't the one that mattered.
The one that does matter didn't even have the AA/AF entries!  So, I have to
alter them manually, and I need to reboot afterward.  Seems to be a bug that
apparently only I suffer from.

Yup.  It always came out to 51.9.  I find that when I enable AA in the setup
utility it doesn't look anywhere near as good as enabling it in the ATI CP.
Don't know why that would be though.  Plus, EA's utility doesn't allow you
to enable AF.  I managed to get it all sussed out though.
