UBI F1 sound breakup

The sound in Ubi's F1 breaks up while trying to play.  Also, the graphics
are slow and choppy until no cars are around me.  I have a P-166 and Monster
3D.  Anyone have any suggestions?  I've read other posts about how smooth it
was.

I had the same sound problems as you at first when I copied the two glide
.vxd files from F1UBI demo dir into my windows95/system directory.

I went back and restored my original copies of the two glide .vxd files
I had saved before overwriting them with the ones provided in the demo, and
instead deleted the ones in the F1ubi demo directory and that solved my
sound cutoff problems.

Looks like the version of the glide .vxd files in the demo are older and
cause sound conflicts with the rest of my newer glide instalation already
on my system.

Let me know if you don't understand this post and I can try to explain it
more clearly.

By the way I'm very impressed with this game from the demo, runs nicely on
my P166 Monster 3D system, with only slowdowns at the start of the race, but
hopefully these can be aleviated by the options to turn off the beautiful sky
in the finished version. This game has gone onto my "must-buy" list.

Cheers.
