OT-Binary Newgroups-How do they work?

A couple of times it has been suggested that items be posted to the
alt.binaries.simulators.auto. However when I go over to that NG nothing
really happens.

My question is how do you download from this newsgroup??? Can Outlook
Express be used? If not what program do I use to download files???
