Mike
I have been having problems with my joystick port (Sound Blaster 16 Pnp)
and Sidewinder Pro Joystick. I found that the current draw for the
Sidewinder (25mA +) was draging the 5V down to about 3.2V. It appears
the Sound Blaster Board has a 50 ohm protection resistor (a quick check
of some other game ports don't have anything other than the PCB board
tracks to stop 20A short ccts). I'm still digging into the problem. If
you want see my other postings in the aus.computers.ibm-pc newsgroup
(about 20/4/97).
