SODA

I have to throw in my .02 here as well....  I got the SODA demo with the
track pack.   #1-  can only run in windows95 environment (as far as I
know)...  #2- fps sucks on my current system   (Gateway P5-166 MMX with
32 megs of ram, 2mb ATI 3D card (it sucks as well - the card I mean).
If I turn off many of the "eye candies" like mirror, land texture,
etc... I can get an acceptable fps... but it just doesnt do it for me.
Granted... the effects of flying through the air over jumps and sliding
(my case doing 360's =) ) around the corners is great...   BUT.. my
computer meats the "recommended", not minimum, requirements and I EXPECT
to get the eye candy if I purchase a game for $50.00 (there goes that
argument again =)).   Im sure this wouldnt be the case when I get my
StealthII S220 or/and add a 3dfx card...
Also... I do not run sims that are not***pit view.  Just doesnt fit
the sim experience to me.  I want to feel like im driving....

Just my .02 worth of input into the "minimum" vs. "recommended" hardware
requirements.

If I didnt have to pay back $30,000 in student loans....  this would be
a mute point because I could afford all the "toys" id like to have =)
Unfortunately,  with a wife, cars, rent, bills, etc...   I have to pick
and choose my battles for "play" money =)   Like luxury box seats at
next years Pocono 400 nascar race (im still fighting for that
experience) =)
Did I mention I wanted a GT-1 car to race in SCCA ?????   Im not asking
for much am I ?? *laugh*
