NASCAR can't handle high IRQ's?

I was having problem with NASCAR*** on me when my SoundBlaster 16 PnP
was using IRQ 10.  As soon as I changed it to IRQ 5, everything works
perfectly.  Is there a patch that allows NASCAR to use IRQ 10 for the
sound card?

Correct.  NCR can not handle IRQ's 10 & above reliably.  We are working
on it but since most people can configure below 10, it isn't a number 1
priority.
