Hi !

Anybody know where can I get .jam for Mclaren West car ?

They have the most awesome '97 GP2 carset there. It makes it a new game
again.
 I found this add-on to be totaly awesome. The details of the cars &
helmets are really
somehting else. It is stuff like this that re-juvinated my intrest in the
game.

FWIW: There are a bunch of PCX's included in the patch. One was of the
Mclaren-Benz
WEST car. This addon is really top notch. A must have for all GP2 people.

Hope you find it as cool as I did. There are raised noses on all the cars,
new
helmuts, & new cool tire/wheel graphics. One thing I noticed, is that the
GP2
tires of the other cars do not rotate like ICR2 or N2. They are static. You
will
see what I mean when you load the patch & get close to another car. All in
all
a very cool addon. We owe this chap alot of thanks!

How to install
--------------

First create directory SEASON97 under your gp2-directory. Then unzip the
files there and type INSTALL. The installation batch will update some of
the JAM files and change the gp2.exe. If you can't accept this, take first
backup the files you want to remain unchanged.

About season 97
---------------

This car set updated your Grand Prix 2 into season 1997. As we all know,
the
original version of GP2 includes only season 1994 cars, so now you will
have
a great change to make the game even more interesting.

Because of technical limitations in Grand Prix 2, we had to include extra
team (Forti) to the add-on that you will have 26 runners (24 normally in
a season 97).

About this add-on

This add-on contains:
 - New cars
 - New helmets
 - New car and driver performances
 - New***pit colours
 - New pitcrew colors
 - New pitbox order
 - New Goodyear tyres
 - New marshals and chequered flag man
 - New starting lights
 - Installation batch for DOS
 - Support for all versions of GP2

The installation will change the following files:
- gp2.exe and f1gstate.sav
- williams.jam, tyrrell.jam, benetton.jam, mclaren.jam, footwork.jam,
lotus.jam,
  jordan.jam, ligier.jam, larrous.jam, minardi.jam, ferrari.jam,
sauber.jam,
  simtek.jam, helmets1.jam, b1ftr.jam, b1rtr.jam, b2ftr.jam, b2rtr.jam,
  roadsgn.jam, mpush.jam, flags1.jam, flagcheq.jam and chequ1.jam

If you have saved some important data in them, take first backups of them.

Changing game settings
----------------------

The installation will change the game settings to default values. After
installation probably you'll have to change some settings like current
driver, modem settings, etc...

You must have Slobodan Blanusa's GP2 Editor v2.12b for Windows to change
the
game settings. Using other editor may cause some strange things... The
editor
can be at URLs shown above.

Troubleshooting
---------------

If after installation the game won't start anymore, delete the f1gstate.sav
-file and then load a saved game S97AO??.QRL

Loading a hotlap or replay will delete the current game settings. You can
restore this add-on's setting loading a saved game shown above.

Note! The helmets in the driver selection screen can not change.
