Stefan Zscharnack (hope that's spelled right) has posted a site
specifically for the GPL community.  Here you'll find many names that
every one recognizes as well as picture of and such.  I was quite
surprised at some of the ages and even more so by what some of these
people look like.

Take a look and sign up... http://www.racesimcentral.net/

We are really Jimmy Clark and Graham Hill using assumed names.  You can
only imagine what would happen if we posted our pictures there.

Eric Cote of www.simracingmag.com did a survey not to long ago.  one of
the questions was about your age..  Looks like the biggest age group was
about 32-34.  If I remember right, the oldest driver in the survey was
72(?) and the youngest was about 13.

If you did the same pole for NASCAR I would only guess that the average
ages would be closer to 20-25 with the biggest group being in the
***s.  But that's just a guess.  Has anyone done a survey on the age
group of the NASCAR sims?

I believe it.  I've got 2 kids & three step-kids that are older than
you, & I'm not nearly as old as a lot of these guys!  But the nature of
the sim as it is, 1967 F1, you gotta figure it'd appeal more to the
older crowd.

Older......how depressing.  LMAO

Yeah although I'm not 20 but it happened that I had to at least correct my
language after finding that a good racing pall of mine could also be (well
theoretically) my father...

Hehe. He's just jealous. My one and only pic ever to be published on the web
happened to be one of myself sitting in a rather nice car. A 1992 FW14B

Yeah, I know.  Like my momma used to say, the only other alternative to
growing old is to die young.  But it just don't seem that long ago
(1967).  That was the year of the Riots here in Detroit, and the
memories are still pretty fresh.  Now if you'll excuse me, I've gotta
hook up my Clapper..............<GG>
