FIA GT V3 long track load times?

Is my install fubared or do the FIA GT V.3 mod tracks take a long time to
load?

PIII933, 512MB, ATA100, 7200rpm, ATi 7500, XP.

    I haven't timed either, but the FIA tracks come up very similar to
everything else...f1 included.
Anyone with a stopwatch?

I find the FIAGT mod takes the same amount of time as F1 for test days but
when you've got a full grid of 30 in a quick race, it takes quite a while to
load.  Lots of textures I guess.  I don't mind slow loading when a game
looks that nice... : )

You know, it is the Quick Race that I was timing.  I agree, it's worth the
wait.  Though I get frustrated after I abort a quick race, hit the wrong
button and have to reload the track :)

That said... I've lost my F1 2001 manual.  What's the easiest was to abort a
race and get back to the starting grid without reloading the track?  I can
do it sometimes by hitting random keys...
