TOCA2 How to enter cheat codes?

Does anyone know how to enable cheat codes in TOCA2?  I've got the cheats
and I've typed them under many different screens but they seem to have no
effect.

Type them in one at a time as the players name and you will hear a voice say
"Cheat mode enabled" The only 2 that I really use are "cartastic" and
"double" for all cars and all tracks.Good luck.

The cheat codes need to be entered at the 'Enter your name' screen.
