N2 - Different car bodies

Could someone knowlegeable please give us a brief explanation of the
differences between the car bodies in Nascar 2?
I haven't noticed any difference between the different makes. Is
that because I'm a useless driver!? :) Although when I think about it
probably all the different colour schemes I have used in N2 have been
'Bowtie's...
  TIA.

The difference between the different cars lies within the physics model and
not so much in the cosmetics.  There is a difference in the grills, but
thats it.  However, the Chevy is better on superspeedways, the Ford is
better on the short tracks, and the Pontiac is kinda a balance between them,
but not quite as good at either.  The difference's are slight, and most
folks would not notice them.  I have won championships with all three cars.
I do have to tweak the setups to fit the different cars, though.
the best test is to pick a car type, go to talladega, load the ace and run
some laps.  Then pick another type of car and do it again.  You should see
speed differences between the different cars, and the Chevy should be
fastest.  Now do that same routine at North Wilkesborough and the Ford will
be faster.  The Pontiac rocks at Dover though.
So...it boils down to a matter of preference.
