Hi --

I'm sure this has been answered before, but then I never had GPM
before.. ;-)

I FTPed the GPM patch from Holobyte, but every time I try to update
the stupid thing it gives me an error saying, "Can't update
<filename>". I've tried installing from different directories, from
the GPM root directory... nothing works. I even re-downloaded the
file! No dice.

Any clues?

Just put what you have downloaded on a diskette and then
upgrade your game.

The biggest problem which is really quite simple is the fact of which game version you
have. I tried to download the US English version but I later figured out that I don't
have that version. Check the spelling of tires(tyres) in your game. If it has tyres
download the UK English version which should be named enggpm.zip or something like that.
I think to update you just unzip the files into your directory.

Is the file read only?
