I am having a problem with modem play.  The setup will not let me
change my modem from the com 1 setting that it is currently set on.  I
do not even have a choice of com ports.  I am using a hand-built 100
mhz Pentium, 32 mgs ram, Diamond Stealth 2201, and a Maxtech 33.6
modem.  Any help would be appreciated.

First suggestion for this type of problem is to run the Microsoft system
diagnostic program (MSD) and see what comm ports it shows; if the port
you're trying to connect to doesn't show up with MSD, NASCAR II won't be
able to find it, but usually NASCAR II can find ports which show up when
you run MSD.

Sometimes ports show up at different location than you might expect, so if
you see ports in the setup screen select list but they don't match the port
you're looking for, one of the ports which is in the available list may be
the port you want.
