Hawaii-Modems-5/30/96--What happened?? Ed/Adam/Rick

Does anybody know what the deal was with the modems on Hawaii Thursday
night. I have been running at 38K with my 28.8 since it started. But
last night, when entering a race, it told me "It's not a good idea to
run at a baud higher than 9600 without 16550 hardware." I know for a
fact my hardware had 16550 UARTs.

Thanks

Mike

There have not been any updates to the Hawaii client software since
Tuesday, May 14.  Although there is an optional beta version of
MULTI.EXE up there for people to download if they want... it is
optional, though.

If you saw something last night for the first time, and you have been
running with the 5/14 update since it came out, it was caused by
nothing on our end.  That message would be generated by the client
software.  We have made numerous updates on the server side, but
nothing on the client side since 5/14.
