Pardon?  Was replying to JT's post, but maybe he had clicked on it. BTW
hold-drag-release even better :-)

Nice physics engine.... but it's no GPL. :-P

You do? I've lost all mine into deep space or they crashed into the Atlantic
Ocean.

For a technical university geek this is highly ***ive :)

It's "only" about giving the satelite the right speed and the right
altitude for it to maintain orbid. Would be a heck of a lot more fun
and educational if one could add parameters with input boxes instead
of using the mouse as the space shuttle.

Just set them off at the right speed about 2.5cm from the planet ...keep
them away from the moon ...
im still trying to get a stable oorbit on the moon but it decays after
about 10 cycles

Define "stable". :-)  I had a couple dozen buzzing around for over 10
minutes, but after about 2 hours there are only about 8 left.  However I
do have one  going counterclockwise in a low (about 1 earth diameter)
orbit, the rest going clockwise a couple diameters out.

10 cycles around the moon! I could barely get 2.  Tried to get one orbit
both the earth and moon but not even a full cycle.

What's really amusing is the competitive spirit in this group :-)
