I believe you also wrote.....
I of course don't know all the details but I would suggest that in
this case cooler heads need to prevail once more. I also own a TSW and
have experienced the situation when pots go, as they eventually do
with any wheel (especially when you use them as much as we do!). Going
from precision control to "pot luck" (sorry, horrible pun!) is truly
awful, and especially maddening when racing on Hawaii or when
something important is at stake.
That said, you also need to take into consideration that such things
happen and that you need to plan for them. The new pots of the TSW are
very good quality, but also very difficult to come by, and sometimes
it can be extremely difficult to get stocks - I experience this in my
job very day. If TSW were screwing you around I could understand your
emotion, but in this case it is TSW who are being screwed around and
you are suffering for it.
Wait until the weekend and see if your pots arrive as promised by TSW
- if so, perhaps an apology is in order? If not, flame on...! :)
Whatever happens, remember that a racing team NEVER goes to a track
without spares, and I have the same philosophy in my sim-racing. I
have six spare pots for wheel and pedals sitting in the house just
now. I reckon these will last me years, but I have the peace of mind
to know that I'll never have a problem. If you are racing on Hawaii to
a high level and with high level equipment, you also need to put the
back-up in place, so perhaps you too should secure a stock of pots to
stop such problems in future? TSW also need to do this, but even if
they have stock you lose a few days racing. If they also have supply
headaches the pain for you is worse, as you've found.
If I can help out let me know.
Best Regards,
John
