I have 3 working VCR's(VTR's?)  But the one I used to record this
morning's F1 race is the ONLY one I didn't double check the 1 hour time
change for Daylight savings time.  Rewound the tape and hit play...hey!  A
Toyota in the pits already!!  dumb dumb.    Then I see the 1 hour CART
Brands Hatch preview is directly oppostite the last round of the Supercross
broadcast at 3pm west coast time(Usa west coast that is)  Do I dare attempt
to match my feeble recording skills against the cable box another time
today??

And was anyone embarrased when the GTS Mustang was running down the DP
class leaders last night in Phoenix?  I'll bet they are gonna end up
loading the lower classes down with extra weight to keep the Daytona
Prototypes on the sharp end of the field.

You do realize the F1 race will be rebroadcast tonight don't you?  I missed
it this morning as a result of a very late lan party last night, and didn't
set the tape because I still have Richmond on the tape I wanted to use.  At
least I think I do, I haven't even checked it yet.  I plan on taping the F1
race tonight while watching Alias.  Can't miss Alias, oh no...

Not impressed with DP's so far.  I'm all for developing a lower cost
prototype class, but if they're going to be so dang slow they should think
about putting them on a separate schedule, maybe even as a support race.

<snip>

That used to catch me out too - it was so easy to do. I say "was"
because the video I now have automatically adjusts for it, rather
like Windows does, except that it gets the time from Ceefax (the
BBC's teletext service). That's saved me several times now!

Hell, I was there, and if you mean number 48 (went into it without any
offhand knowledge of the classes they'd be running, LOL...I've seen a lot of
these cars running here before, I never bother to look up classes though),
the guy was a bit of a bastard for ramming that Ferrari.  I (and my
girlfriend, dad, and stepmom) was sitting in the stands between T1 and T2
(if you count the dive down to the infield as T1, and we saw that Mustang
overcook that corner several times...he stuck his nose where it didn't
belong and spun that gorgeous-sounding 360 out.

Of course, it set up a great race to the finish, so no hard feelings, I
suppose. :)

"Milhouse"

That would be the guy.   For some reason, those BIG Nascar sized numbers
on the Washington Ferrari 360 look good.  I'm usually not a fan of the big
numbers, but it just fits that car.  :)

Yeah, it really does.  Now, if I only had the $150k or $200k or whatever it
costs for a 360GT...
