Well, ive just come back from the motorshow in birmingham, and what can i
say?

im no longer a ferrari fan

they didnt take an Enzo.

you had a few ferrari f1 cars there, you had the 612 fat ferrari, the 575
mid range and the 360 bottom of the range ferrari.

porsche is cool

plenty of 911s, and a Carrera GT too. very nice looking in the flesh.

mercedes had the SLRs, as well as the maybachs etc etc.

Aston had the vanquish and its identical cheap twin the db9.

the Evo stand had a Koenigsegg (which i wanted more than anything pre show).

but it all paled in comparison.

it all paled in comparison to the TVR Sagaris that was on show.

here was a small british company, producing a race car for the road, that
had indescribable looks (its insane basically, a TVR for the people who
think TVRs are dull i think its been described as), 400bhp from an inline
six 4litre engine.

here was a small british company producing supercars that wasnt too precious
to let us commoners (not that im common, i used to race formula fords ;) )
sit in then and play with everything in car.

here was a supercar that could do 0-60 in 3.7 seconds, 0-100 in 8.1seconds,
maximum speed of over 195mph, looked amazing (thats as close as im to
describing it), and you know what the amazing thing is?

its cost.

49,995 on the road.

wow.

an eight of the price of the Enzo.

I want.

me neither - front ugly enough to be a new Ferrari, rear ugly enough to be a
new Lambo, wheelarches nicked from an MG SV

although it does look better in the official pics
http://www.pistonheads.com/noble/default.asp?storyId=8508

but then Nobles have never looked particularly great - supposed to go well
though which I guess is the main thing!

That TVR just *screams* "Trying too hard".

Style wise, I'm not a big fan...

And admirers of the car scream when they run their
hand the wrong way on the Sagaris' cheesegrater styling.

I still haven't seen a car that required *gills*.

I've always liked TVR's styling, but this one is
too much. IMO...YMMV...ETC

I've always found that my reaction is similar to your when I first see a
new TVR, then I fall in love with it.  I couldn't stand the Tuscans when
they came out.  Now I lust in vain after them.

I kinda like this one.  I like it better than the Tamora.
