Why do I need a higher framerate than 8fps???

because with anything below 15fps, the screen will not update
fast enough for you to see what is coming ahead. at 200mph
and 15fps each frame things move by 20 feet (more than a car
length) and at 8 fps, by 37 feet.

I have played ICR2 at 60 fps (with 3D accel) and it's a completely
different game that at 15fps. Everything is far more responsive
and "delicate".

Sorry, ICR2 and N2 are limited at 30FPS with _any_ graphics card.

i think he is referring to the alt-x (don't hold me to the key stroke)
key that allows icr2 to run at unlimited amounts of fps on the rendition
cards.  I've done it also and it is interesting, but undriveable.

I consider anything short of 25 fps a bit difficult to drive. As smooth a
frame rate as possible really does drop your lap times, and is also nicer
to drive.
