REBEL. CHEATING OPPONENTS in NASCAR

Has anyone experianced these cheating cars in Nascar? Perhaps Mr.Genter
knows something about why it was designed this way. I've read the other
posts about NASCAR opponents ramming the player after they crashed as if
getting revenge. Is this possible? My question though, was were the Nascar
cars made to ram the player into the wall? When you're on the inside,
passing an opponent (something I always do), they tend to drift towards
the wall as if to dodge you. Yet if you're passing on the outside, they
seem to get closer and closer until you have a meeting with the wall. Were
they designed this way or have I gone MAD????

They're working the groove, I believe, and don't "see you".  I hate
taking the outside (have been successful with it, but it's a risk) for
just that very reason.  I wonder if they "see" me...

---->Certain drivers are more aggressive than others. Drivers with higher
aggression ratings will be more insistent about defending their position.
They don't try to ram you into the wall; they try to protect their line.
Protecting their line may *result* in you being rammed into the wall, but
that wasn't what they were trying to do.<----

Rick,

I appreciate your answer but I believe you guys secretly programmed the AI
racers to go after human opponents. ;-)  I've been crunched by Terry
Labonte on at least 3 occasions on 3 different tracks.  In the next
version of the game I'd like to request 2 sets of Sidewinder missles just
in case Terry really gets on my nerves :-).  (You guys did a great job
with this game -- I know I'm ***ed)

You mean an Avenger 20mm, 7-barrel, 40 round per second, chain gun?
The back-force would probably launch a stock car to 200 m.p.h.
backwards.  I'd just get a .50 cal Desert Eagle pistol and shoot out
their tires. :)

BFG 9000? You mean the one from DOOM? Good thinking, that should toast
some tires. But you gotta admit, land mines dropped from drop tubes below
you car is nice to. Too bad you can't have a spotter plane, give them the
coordinates of the leader and have them drop a laser-guided bomb. Now
thats nice.

Um, guys, Lets not forget this is a RACING sim, not a tank warfare,
blow-the-other-guy-away, combat sim.  (although a couple of tomahawk
cruise missiles couldn't hurt ;-)
