GPL - sound (audio) improvement/feedback

Something  I been messing with might be of interest to you..... I
normally run four speakers on my PC, I have two speakers (under my desk)
connected to the speaker output from my SB32,  and two rear speakers
behind my swivel chair running off a special 30/30 watt PC audio
amplifier fitted in a drive bay (with mini graphic EQ), which is fed
from the line output of the SB32.  Ok, that's the 'basic set-up'
(hehehe),  As suggested in Steve Smiths GPL book, the SB32 has an
'advanced' option in its set-up..... for '3D enhanced' sound, I checked
this box and it did improve the sound..... check it out if you have that
option.
Right, now we get down to the 'good stuff', I have just added a 5th
speaker!  I took a single wire feed from each of the +'ve wires from the
rear speakers, ran them to the 5th speaker, a 6" roll edge bass chassis
speaker I had in my junk box,  attached this to the 'flat bottom'
underside of my swivel chair! (no, not to my bottom, but close ;-)  Hey,
fantastic..... you can 'feel' the vibration of the engine, the brakes
and all sorts of effects like riding over gravel, kerbs or grass etc.
It gives a lot of 'feel' feedback so crucial with a sim, through the
seat of your pants...... probably not as good as a 'force feedback'
system, but it helps a lot!  Its pretty cool when playing music discs as
well, and Unreal.....is, well 'unreal'!
