Gabacho, after a few tries on Normandie in the '95 911 I got a 2:09.53,
that's with 60/60 downforce and almost zero toe-in. Looks like full toe-in
isn't the answer on Normandie with all its fast sweeping turns.
The first half of this run was unremarkable and I was only hitting 143mph on
the jumps (didn't even bother going around the sign). The second half of the
track was where I made up time. One key was using part-throttle to maintain
speed in the dirt valley near the end; I hit 165mph in there, which I'd
never done before, and doing the same on the sharp turns near the end, where
I was getting to 182 or so.
Ok, I have uploaded the replay of this run to my website for everyone to
look at: http://www.racesimcentral.net/~rsquires/Class1Norm.zip
Also get

to examine the suspension settings from the replay.
The important settings to note are RideHeight, Toe-in, and downforce. Too
low a ride height causes understeer and low cornering speeds, too much
causes body roll and wallowing.
Large amounts of toe-in are not needed on Normandie's fast sweeping turns,
and finally for downforce much less than 60/60 makes for difficulty
negociating the series of jumps, and much more slows the car down.
Looks to me like sub-2:09.00 times are possible in the '95; Chaul has done
it already online, but so far I haven't been able to make everything come
together just right, and probably a little more tweaking is needed.
