It is very amusing.  I d/l last night.  1600x1200 w/ all eye candy on my PII450
(oc 465), 256MB, V3/3000 AGP.

What axes are you trying to split?  The opposite direction from the 'gas' is
reverse, so I doubt you would want to be applying that at the same time.

Me2.  Have you tried to go up that ramp that goes up the trunk of the red BMW?
Come to think of it..everyone in that neighborhood drives a Bimmer....

Downloaded the demo based on some comments I read in the action game
newsgroup. It was really refreshing to play something so completely
different.
The handlings a little funky, you basically have to keep the car
pinned, because you spin when you let off the gas.
I couldn't get it to work with split axis on my Formula Force,
although it identified the controller as "combined axis" when I
calibrated that way. Anyone get it to work with separate axis?

Lots of fun once you get the hang of it, jumping curbs (literally) to
cut corners, etc.
Seems like it'll be a blast for LAN games. Think I'll buy it. :-)

There is a steering setting that, when made lower, makes the steering very slow
(sort of counterintuitive).  Have you ever driven an RC car?  They are *very*
twitchy to steer...

You can shut that off in the menus by setting 'pickups' to 'no'.

I wish I could get inside the vehicle in ReVolt

The pedal axis. The reason I wanted to do it isn't really a play
issue. It's because I don't want to go into the Logitech profiler and
switch the pedal configuration every time I play it.

The damn thing wont run on my system, when I go to race it shows a
screen for a second and then it turns all blue! I can still see the
speedo and have sound but all the racing screen is all blue! My sytem
seems to run everything else fine and I dont know what the problem is!
I even installed that Direct X 6.1 with the demo!

Celeron 400
64 MB Ram
Creative Voodoo Banshe 16MB AGP

Beats the heck out of me but one funny thing Ive noticed
is that the 3DFX logo never pops up like it does on all other
3D games. maybe it doesnt recognize my video card!

My Futaba controller is actually adjustable on the flt for sterring play and
how quick it is to re-act. If you get into real R\C racing It can be twitchy
or sluggish as you would like it to be, Radio shack cars yes are very
twitchy, but a good team asssociated truck can be very precise. Playing this
game definetly reminds me of the Radio shack \ sears experience.

There's a flight sim out that models R/C aircraft SO closely
it actually INCLUDES a gutted radio as a controller!!  It LOOKS cool,
but DAMN it's expensive. Can't remember the name, tho.
I'd think that "simulating" controlling a radio controlled car
would suck with a steering wheel.  When I'm playing a game I want to
FEEL like I'm IN it: when I play Quake I use my "six-shooter", when I
fly I use my Saitek X36F, when I drive I use my TM NasPro. If I were
to do R/C driving, I'd think a gamepad would be the best idea
(currently available)...  Re-Volt looks "interesting" tho.

I downloaded this game and i must admit, very nice programming.. Fast and
some nice rendering(24bit)
Did ya see the lawn watering? Look real... And the blurr on the radio
antenna... The racing was fast
paced and realistic (in realistic mode)......You gotta check this one out...
