To all of you who are tired of playing simply unrealisitic racing games,

Go check out the Ubi Soft Speed Busters demo (available on NGO). I
downloaded it this morning and it's excellent. You can really crash a
car a and make some major damage to it.

Graphics are great and the music, well selected.

Give me some news about it.

I was really curious, and while the graphics are quite good, there
it was again: the famous "Oh my, joystick ports are too complicated,
so we can't support all possible axis for user input..."

Instead of using the paddles on my GP1 for gas/brakes, I just
deinstalled the game...

That's just enough to not even try to download it. I mean... if they can't
make a good set of controller port for the game, I don't even want to see
the rest of it. I want my CH pedals !

Time limit is a bit frustrating.  I understand that it's only a demo
but with only 1 track and limited selections in the Options do they
think we aren't gonna buy it if they give us unlimited time?

Almost frustrating enough for me to delete it but it runs surprisingly
well on my old P133, Voodoo1, 64MB machine.

Getting a new machine next week and I'm eager to see it run on that.

But that darned time limit...

I'm tired of playing simply unrealistic racing games, and Speed
Busters added to my frustration. A new version of POD, whoopee.
F1RS is so far the only good racing game from Ubisoft. I'm amazed all
the other driving games from them are such simple crap, like POD,
Redline Racer, SBusters etc.

I gave up trying to play it because the time limit and my P166 is too slow.
Also the cops dont
chase you (I guess because it an early demo) but you hear their sirens. NFS3
is better for that.
I like the Nice 2 demos better. Nice 2 demo limits the cars available to
drive so I have been
trying to select the Kart or F1 car by changing the Auto.in file but the
best I came up with is
a Fiat that does 265Kph and I race against the F1, Kart,  a monster truck
and another fast Fiat
at the same time.

I know, no surprise here. The T2 is a joystick with 2 axis. Any racing
game
supports 2 axis joysticks, but 4 axis is REALLY complicated,
obviously...

The cops aren't supposed to chase you...it isn't NFS...

I very often whine about the bad joystick config in most games/sims on
this
ng. But I rarely get responses of people feeling equally. Is that silent
agreement, or is the majority playing with 2 axis joysticks?

If I'm the only one complaining, they will definitly not think about
enhanced
controller configs...not that I would overestimate the impact of this
ng! ;^)
