No complaints here (Guillemot Maxigamer).  Works with everything I've thrown
at it, including GPL (there's supposed to be a bug, but I haven't noticed it),
N99, SCGT, MGPRS2.  Usually at 800x600, sometimes at 1024.    16MB, no
passthru degradation, Glide support.  But if I was getting a board now, I'd be
looking Voodoo3.

I've got a Quantum Raven, AGP off a K6 2 300, and it kicks donkey in GPL.
800x600, everything on, runs fine at 36 fps

AND because of Voodoo 3, they're a BARGIN

I have a Creative Labs Banshee16MB AGP and I dont know how I did
without it! Other than a few minor bugs when I first bought it (had to
add a fan inside my computer and install the latest drivers) it works
great! It plays GPL great and all the latest flight sims.

You can get Voodoo3 2000's for slightly more then a banshee and one of those
are a lot faster then the Banshee.

I bought my GuillemotMaxigamer Phoenix (Banshee) AGP for $60 after rebate. the
V3 2000 is $130. For the price, the banshee is one hell of a card! especially on
Super7 boards since almost a no-hassle card. If you are on a budget go for the
banshee. if not go for the V3. Actually $130 for a fast V3 is not that bad.
Remember when the Monster 3D II 12MB was $250? That wasn't too far back.

I would recommend it for lower/middle of the road cpus and socket-7 systems.
For higher end systems, ie. P2-400 and above I would recommend the TNT or
TNT2 which should be on the shelves this week. I tried the Voodoo-3 2000
last Friday and had nothing but trouble. After a long conversation with
STB/3dfx (good phone support btw) I went back to my STB V4400. It looks as
if they either install and work fine, or you have major problems...no
in-between. I wound up formatting my hd and reinstalling Win98 and just
putting the TNT back in. I never got the V-3 working in any 3d apps at all.

You can get V3 2000s for $100 and dont have to wait 3 months for a rebate.
BTW I have a Phoenix Banshee, though I bought mine 3 months ago, right now I
feel the best value is the $100 V3. Though personally I'll just wait for
3dfx next product ;)

Got my Diamond Banshee PCI about 4 months ago recieved my $30 rebate today.
Card runs great. The diamond was one that had the fan already on the chip. I
run the newest reference drivers and have had minimal problems.

Well, my P200MMX is looking a bit tired, I will admit. But I replaced
the ATI Rage 3D pro II for a creative Banshee, and the change is
astonishing. MGPRS2 run lovely at 640 res even on starts, TOCA2 is
fine except replays, (patched) F22 ADF is smooth as f*$. I don't work
for creative or anything, but get one!!!
