I recently downloaded several Nostalgia cars from the IWCC cars Project.
When I try to run the .exe file it opens a DOS window with a message
"This program requires Microsoft Windows." Do any of you guys know how I
can install these cars?

Thanks,

Kerry Grant

Kerry,

If you're using Win95, here's what to do:

1.  Click the Start button, and then click Run.
2.  When the Run dialog box comes up, click the Browse button.
3.  Find the directory that you downloaded to (in this case, it's
    your browser's main directory).
4.  Select the file, then click Open.
5.  The name of the file should appear in the Run dialog box.  Click
    OK.

Wrong... The file is bad! Download another one! Try right clicking on
the file and do a save as. The Pits sites have been having a BIG
problem with their .exe files lately. If you have or can get
GetItRight it will eliminate this problem asap...........

Wrong again! The file is corrupt if you see a "This program requires
Microsoft Windows." message within Windows...

Use MS Internet Explorer to download the file.  The pits' .EXE's don't download
with netscape very well :(

Yep, this is true.  For some reason, Netscape doesn't handle the
downloads from The Pits very well.  (It used to)  I've had to log on
with IE a few times lately to download files.

What version of netscape do you use.  Got Netscape 4.06 and ALL files
download with no problem and i've downloaded many files from them.  By
the way Microsoft should have included netscape with WIN98 not MSIE.
Netscape kicks ass!

I used Microsoft Internet Explorer and the files downloaded with no
problems. I use the Beta of Netscape 4.5. I guess I will check to see if
they have a more recent version.

Thanks everyone for your help.
