CART/ICR2 at Indy

CART/ICR2 at Indy

Well...with the help of a couple people, I finally managed to obtain a
copy of the Indianapolis track for CART/ICR2.  I've tested, tuned, and am
comfortable with my performance there (at least as confortable as I am on
any of the other tracks).  However, it seems that some of the textures are
messed up a little.  There are large purple patches on the walls that I
think should be greay.  Also, the "yard of bricks" at the S/F line is is
garbled.  Is there a fix for this?
Other than these two problems, the IMS track is awesome...I get a kick
out of how much true-to-life detail they have used from the actual speedway.
I can almost pick out my seats if I drive by slow enough. ;-)

The track is from ICR1 and the pallet is a little funny.

OK, but is there a fix, or is it something that I just have to deal
with?

If you are running the Windows version the colors are messed up like
that.  Try running the pure DOS version of ICR2.

You might already have the improvements, but in case you don't, I just
put up web page devoted to Indianapolis.  It's at
http://www.frontiernet.net/~jkbishop/indyframe.htm.  Presuming you
have the original Papyrus track in its just-converted configuration,
you'll definitely want to grab Joachim Boeddeker's AI fix, which will
make the AI use the warm-up lane under green flag conditions.  If
you don't have the original Papyrus track or it's already been hacked,
I'm not sure if the patches will be useful.

All of the material on the ICR2 part of the page comes from The Pits
and The Sim Project; if you already have the patches, my site has
nothing new.
