Oh great.....NBC's "opener" for the Busch Race at Chicago.....was totally
flat and boring. And, no stereo...its mono ....... coming out of the right
channel only. This is sooooo bad! I know my system is fine....just
finished watching Speedvision Touring Car races on Speedvision (in
stereo)....had to go crank up the volume to about 50% just to hear the NBC
sound! This is total crap!

lol no kidding.... My guess is that its NBC's crew doing the coverage
at fault.. With all the money these Dinosaurs have why cant they spend a
little on their Nascar coverage?.. Oh yeah they spent it on hype.. How
could I forget? <g>

I read an article about how NBC said they are "listening" and will do
whatever they can to improve the coverage. Well, a first step would be to
upgrade that 8-bit soundblaster emulator they are plugging the audio
through! =)

Eh Tom.. Maybe thats just your TV station because I had my stereo system on
too and I got full surround sound from the race.

Providers handle local channels differently from one to the other is my
guess. I have dig. cable and although it was in stereo it sounded pretty
crummy to me. Have to attribute this to the fact that it is live but other
coverage has sounded much better.
