Microsoft Force feedback steering wheel info

I've just been given one of these with power supply and software. Can anyone
tell me what power it needs (including polarity if poss).
Also I have no lead between the pedals and the wheel. It looks like the same
as a US phone lead: again, goes anyone know?
Thanks

Thanks for that. As for polarity, the problem is that there is no standard
for how you wire the DC low-voltage end, so that the plug on one device may
have the reverse polarity of an identical plug on another. It's a simple
matter to put diodes behind the DC-in socket to protect against reversed
voltage, but there is no guarantee that they are there.- manufacturers
insist that you use their (usually overpriced) power units. It's one of the
scandals of the electronics industry that we don't have universal smart DC
supplies  that simply ask a device what power it needs and then provide it -
it would save carryng around all those heavy power adaptors.

Sorry about the rant. You hit one of my hobby horses. And thanks again for
the info.

> The cable between the wheel and pedals is a four conductor RJ-11cable.
