Are there any sites that can provide the full Winston Cup car-set for
2001, as supplied with the US version.

Pointers would be much appreciated!

Eh - I was gonna buy this in EB - what's the difference between our version
and the USA version?

I'm not bitter, afterall - just about every other title we get 2 months
before the states anyway!

You should be able to get all of the cars at these sites.  I don't know of a
single car-set that has them all though.

The British version has no car manufacturer logos and no licensed drivers
or paint schemes.  This is very similar to how N99 was released in the
USA...in....1999!
Even the US version does not have all the 2001 drivers and cars.  BUt at
the sites listed in this thread you can grab the full field...and I haven't
seen it yet, but I would assume SOMEBODY will make a patch that inserts the
Dodge/Ford/Chevy/Pontiac logos in the proper places.

Not entirely correct. Most drivers are there, but some are missing.

I've already managed to put back most of what was missing from my UK copy of
N4, ok small admission and I've got my nomex race suit on so I'm ready for
the flaming, I just couldn't wait for N4 to come out in the UK so while I
was waiting I ran a WaReZ copy for about a month, I know I know, I promise I
wont do it again. Well I've got a full legal UK copy Bought from ***
megastore on day of release.
But before I deleted the *** one I just had to take it to bits to see
what made it tick, if anyone's interested I can go into what bits are needed
but for now I'll just list what's missing.

1 The cars, there's only 65 including the multiplay ones, the US version had
76 and there's some big names among the missing.

2 No manufactures logos on the cars, just a generic detail decal.

3 In the opponents manager and player info screens where the US version has
a large manufacturers logo the UK version is blank.

4 when you create a new car in the opponents manager you get the choice of
chassis 1,2,3 or 4 instead of Chevy, Dodge, Ford or pontiac.

5 I the paintshop the US version has 4 buttons in the bottom left for the 4
manufacturers, the UK version has only one for the aforementioned generic
detail decal.

Mark

OK flame away.
