And, for the completely opposite opinion, I have never used the profiler for
my Logitech Wingman Formula Force (LWFF). So either way works, it just
depends on what your needs are.
You DO have to install the Wingman software to get the Logitech-specific
controller setup in Control Panel, where you can enable split axis, set the
force feedback strength, etc. That is separate from the profiler, which is a
little application that runs and displays a "W" icon in your system tray.
Regardless of whether or not you use the profiler, you're probably going to
have to fiddle with some controller settings in each game to get the wheel
working the way you like it.
