Surprising (To ME) Poll Results

I came across this poll of the most awaited sims.
http://www.racesimcentral.net/;GP3 is ahead with a 70%. Nascar is at only 5%.
GPL is just 20%. I'm a little surprised by this poll only because it doesn't
at all seem to match up with the general consensus here at r.a.s.

the web site is fairly new..put that poll on a site like the uspits and
watch the results turn the other way.

Perhaps the denizens of RAS are not indicative of the people being
polled?
How was the survey done? Who did it and where was it carried out?
Don't get too carried away by "statistics" until/unless they actually
*ARE* statistics! :o)

Check the web site for your answers. I'm not carried away by the stats, just
though it was interesting. I'm a regular here at r.a.s. but to be honest, I
don't see it as being worth a dime as a barometer of the state of auto sims.
The sim developers obviously feel the same way as evidenced by their
absence. I recognize so many of the names, and the attached opinions, that
it's simply too small to be representative of anything but itself.

Surprising (To ME) Poll Results

>Precisely, David! :o)

I think that most of the people who read r.a.s. take sim racing very
seriously; seriously enough to take the time to search/give info on the
matter, by coming here and to Web sites. Not all persons who are interested
in sim racing are that interested. And some sim developers do come here.

Perhaps that makes r.a.s. readers different from other sim racers.

An idea: why doesn`t someone with a site create a poll for r.a.s. readers,
and anyone else who  wants to participate?

Anything to keep us busy until GPL comes out:))

Daniel Fris

If you ask me it explains more than just that :-D

Yeah, well, with that arcade driving model, can`t expect anything else
now
can you :-D

Heavens, NO!  Not at all, Andre-Joe-Bob! :o)
Facetiousness and tongue-in-cheek, yes.
Disdain....definitely not.

Whew... I wuz real worried now, 'cuz I thought maybe you'ins wuz makin'
fun of us here "good ol' boys"... kno'whad'uh'mean?

BTW, when did "Geoff Crammond" move to New Mexico? (See his email
address) I thought he was a Brit or something. (Of course, I ASSUMED he
was a Brit, but you know what the word ASSUME can do, right?)  Surely
we're not being scammed here by a fictitious "Geoff Crammond", are we?

BTW2, having rediscovered my GP2 sim of late, I've been enjoying racing
thereon once more. I wonder if there really IS a GP3, and I wonder if it
will consume as much relative CPU power as GP2 does? i.e. GP2 sold in
the era of P100's, but barely runs okay on my P233. If that's so, can
you imagine what kind of horsepower GP3 would want?  Mind boggling...

Later...

Andre
