Car Painting in N2

Car Painting in N2

I've followed Chris Frederick's ideas while painting cars in N2.  Using
Paintshop Pro 4, I load the PCX, load the palette, load the other PCX, load
the palette for it.    When I resize the pic and put it on the car, save, then
try to import the PCX to the paintkit, I always get "corrupted palette."
Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks in advance,

Don: Here's the location for what Ive found to be the BEST
PSP/N2 paint help file. The page is called--Northwest Racing.

http://209.100.139.162/

if that does not work--do a Yahoo search for it and it will pop up.

Look in the utilities section. The paint help file is complete with
pictures--download it-study it and it will make sense. Also check out the
 message board--its very active.

OK.. Here's what you do, quick and simple.. If you want/need more
help, mail me privately..

1. Open N2, make New Driver, etc.. Export that car, say it's named
first...
2. Open PS Pro, then open the xfirst.pcx file.. N2 adds the X in front
of the exported car names..
3. DO NOT LOAD A PALETTE ONTO XFIRST.PCX!!! This is what corrupts it!
4. Open any grafx you want, apply the N2.pal palette to them, then put
those graphics on the car.. I suggest resizing/cropping before you use
the N2.pal file on them...
5. When you're all done, save the xfirst.pcx file, and make sure it's
updated and in the N2 directory where you got it..
6. Open N2 and go to the car you painted, called FIRST.. Paint Car..
IMPORT.. You should be ready to go then..

Like I said, apply the palette to everything BUT the xfirst.pcx
file...

More help or questions, mail me privately..

did you make sure that either both pics had the nascar 2 pallette or
that the last thing you did before saving the car picture was to load
the nascar pallette?
