GeneRally (the hidden gem that nobody wants to talk about in this
newsgroup).

Don't laugh, it's really really good.  If you liked Super Mario Kart on the
SNES (not the boring N64 version), you can't dislike GeneRally :)

Even GPL drivers are racing it!

It sucks!  I can't get my Momo to work with it!

Hahah. just kidding of course.  It's a fun little game; made me chuckle
playing it.

Oh my God!  What a game!  The tire marks!  The pit crews!  Running through
the mud & snow!  I can see why this newsgroup seems to avoid discussing it,
though; it really points out some of the flaws in the GPL physics model.

Looks like some of the old euro games that used to come out for the
Amiga
in the 80's.

Man, but how do you slow those AI drivers?  I've set their rating to 1
and they're still like Schumacher, Senna, Clark & Fangio all rolled into
one.  They practically lapped me in a 5-lapper.

And don't tell me offline is for whimps and I should be racing online.

I'm a huge nostalgia fan and I've got almost every MAME ROM, but this game

Not really.  It's a great time waster.  It's our racing version of
Minesweeper.  And it has the best track editor since SODA : Off-Road.  It's
own set of physics are fun yet challenging.

No, I was just poor.  Mind you I had only been playing it for 10
minutes. :)

Now I've got the hang of it those poor AI are starting to suffer.  TRs
at most of the standard tracks now.

GeneRallyRank anyone?  ;-)
